Narrative

Collected by Mr. Cesnola. Part of a collection made in Cyprus in 1873 and presented to the Metropolitan Museum for the 1875 opening. Sold in 1973 by the Stanford University Museum.

Physical description

Minature jug; mottled red and black clay, full of white limestone particles. Splayed foot, globular body, tall narrow neck, trumpet mouth and flat strap handle from 2 rings on neck to shoulder.
