Wealth Box

Carved rectangular argillite box with a decorated lid (part b). The front of the box has a carved face with abalone eyes (long side), and eagles on the short sides. Bird in profile on lid has red-brown catlinite inlay as its eye. The lid has an inset rim fitted to the interior of the box rim. There are three small round ivory inlays on long edges of the lid. Artist’s inscription on box base and underside of lid.
