Physical description

Stone kayak (part a) carving with separate stone figure (part b), stone seal (part c), and stone container (part d) pegged onto top of kayak. The kayak is a closed-deck, one person boat with a long, upturned bow. The figure, dressed in a parka with the hood up, sits in the cockpit. The cockpit has holes around the rim. The figure sits with both legs and arms extended out in front of their body, and they hold a double-bladed wooden paddle (part e). The rigging is composed of five lengths of black (hide?) cords, stretched across the kayak, with each end held in place by a wooden peg. Artist's number carved on the base of the kayak.
