Normal sized circulating coin. Issue of first Ming emperor before he was declared emperor.

Coin, round, with a four-sided hole at the centre, a rim around the outer edge and a centre hole. The obverse has four characters, and the reverse has one character. Dazhong tongbao (top-bottom-right-left) in Chinese characters on obverse; zhe top (mintmark), Chinese character on reverse. Large pit on rim obverse right; outer and inner rims uneven width.
