Physical description
Byzantine coin of Phocas, 602-610. Obverse: bust of Phocas, facing front, with consular robes and crown with cross; to left, he holds a mappa; to right, he holds a cross; above the mappa, there is another cross; to left, inscription says ‘ONFOCAS’; to right, ‘PER’. Reverse: large ‘XXXX’; to right, ‘ϚII’; above, ‘ANNO’; in exergue, ‘KYZB’.
