Pipe made locally by specialists. Pipes are also imported and are important personal possessions of both men and women. Tobacco is a specialty product grown by some tribes in small quantities, but now mostly traded from the plains.

Physical description

A silver pipe made of three pieces including a straight stem (part a), a grooved wooden connecting plug (part b), and a hook-shaped bowl (part c). Two sets of rings are around the ends of the stems (parts a, and c) nearest the connector, from which extend four equally spaced vertical lines of melted wire decoration along the stems. Floral decoration around the exterior of the bowl (part c).
