Physical description

Rectangular watercolour of tools and figures playing three traditional Inuit games. In the top left corner there is a dark grey and light brown animal skin tent, secured along the bottom with rocks. A portion of the tent is pulled back showing an ulu and a wooden box overtop a fire inside of it. Below the tent, in the bottom left corner, there is a dark brown quiver with one arrow in it. The quiver has three bands on it. The top one has a pattern of alternating off-white and dark brown triangles. The second band, close to the bottom of the quiver, is off-white with brown dots. The third band, along the bottom of the quiver, is off-white with dark brown vertical lines. To the right of the quiver is a strung, light brown bow with vertical and diagonal line designs along it. On the right side of the bow is another arrow. The quiver, bow and arrow are all drawn on a diagonal angle. Next to them, in the bottom centre, there is a figure playing the bone and cup game. The figure has short black hair and is wearing a green fur-lined, hooded coat, brown pants and grey and brown boots. They are tossing a cup with holes in it in the air. The cup is attached to a rod the figure is holding by a string. To the right of that figure, in the bottom right corner, is another figure playing a string game. They have long black hair and are wearing a red fur-lined, hooded coat, blue pants, and grey and red boots. The figure is holding a piece of looped string over their head, woven into a design. Above that figure, in the top right corner, there are three figures playing a tugging game. Two figures in long fur-lined, hooded coats hold dark brown strings attached to either end of a long, grey cylindrical bag(?) with a brown lining. The bag(?) has a dark brown line down the middle of it. The figure on the right of the bag is wearing a light purple coat, brown mittens, and grey and brown boots with dark brown lines on the grey portions of them. The figure on the left is wearing a light brown coat with bands around the wrists, waist and the bottom. The bands are off-white with dark brown squares. The band around the waist has fur extending from it. The bottom hem of the coat also has fur extending from it. The figure is wearing purple mittens, and grey and brown boots. Between the two figures is another figure, behind the cylindrical bag(?), wearing a blue fur-lined, hooded coat, brown pants and mittens, and grey and brown boots. That figure has their left hand raised in the air. All three of the figures involved in the tugging game have their coat hoods up. In the bottom left corner of the print the title, "Traditional Games and Tools," is written in pencil. In the bottom right corner the artist signature is written in pencil.
