To soften and break up fibres of cedar bark.
Physical description
Bark shredder, rectangular in shape, made of a wide, thin piece of bone. Oval shaped hole cut through near top edge to form a handle. Bottom edge is beveled and smoothed through use. One side incised with design of a creature's face. Figure has four eyes, each inlaid with a round piece of abalone shell; U-forms for ears; a small nose and a protruding tongue. The four eyes indicate that this may represent the sea creature, Gonaqadet?
