Mask

Wooden humanoid mask. Head is large and rounded, with a pronounced brow, painted black, which comes to a low point at front between round eyes, carved in high relief. Eyes outlined in black paint are above a sharp hooked nose. The nose hangs over an open, puckered mouth, painted red. Nose has a black line painted down the middle, with red around the nostrils. Formline motifs around the eyes, mouth and on the cheeks. Done in red, dark green and black. Two red dotted lines, on each side of the face, extend from the nostrils to the edges of the mask. Back of mask is hollowed out. Holes in mask for eyes and mouth. Metal hooks and fibre are attached to interior for hanging. Artist signature(?) inside mask.
