Tapa Cloth

Small rectangular bark cloth with designs painted in orange-brown, against a beige background. Designs consist of straight and curved lines intertwining to form abstract "X" shapes; additional ovals, triangles, and trapezoids throughout negative space. Orange-brown lines bordered with solid and dotted black lines; chevrons throughout negative space between decorative lines, also done in black. Designs are inside a rectangular border; done in orange-brown with black solid and dotted trim. Back of tapa is undecorated; maker's information written on label stapled to back.
