History of use
Used for identification. Allowed the holder to celebrate Communion in a time of religious repression.
Physical description
Almost square shaped token; inscriptions on both sides. Obverse has "Mr/ 1 d/ 1750" in 3 lines, 'r' high and in small script. Reverse has a capital "C" / "HRANR" in script letters, except last r printed. Edges exhibit lines from two moulds, and flash from cutting.
