Pendant is part of a set of jewelry that collectively depict a family narrative about the artist's grandfather, Fred Cook, who caught a whale in his fishing net and set it free rather than allowing it to be captured. Circular hanging pendant has a central image of a whale underneath a person rowing a boat. The images are almost entirely enclosed inside a wire circle. There are three wave-shaped wires inside the circle plus a smaller circle situated at the top of the pendant.
