History of use
Tumplines are usually tied to baskets or bundles of cedar bark and used when both hands are needed for climbing or collecting. The woven band is worn against the forehead.
Physical description
Wool tumpline with horizontal triangular pattern in red on tan background, woven on a bark warp. The ties are braided and knotted plant fibre (birch?).
