History of use
This knife was most likely designed for utilitarian use, due to its single cutting edge; potentially used for bush-whacking, or other tasks that require cutting or chopping. The sheath would have been worn on a belt.
Physical description
Machete knife blade (part a) is straight, and flat with a point at the end, and three longitudinal grooves on each side. The handle is simple, and covered with leather. The sheath (part b) has black and white strips woven together over red leather.
