Physical description

Birch bark compound box. Birch bark bent and laced into place with birch twigs around the edge overcast with pink and purple aniline dyed birch root. A divider is placed in the centre and two pieces of bark are laced on the ends to create two other compartments. The beads are laced with cotton thread and rawhide tassels are sewn on the bottom of each dangle (eight matching pairs). The light part of the bark is to the outside. The darker rim reinforcement pieces is scalloped. Each dangle consists of three-four beads (depending on size) and terminates with a rawhide tassel. The edges are overcast with alternating pink and purple root (fading colours).
