Round, smooth edge; temple in centre, text on floral design; denomination above, text inside wreath. Obverse has Nippon kuni top, temple in centre, ten yen bottom, ornamental design around. Reverse has ten top, Showa year below, in open wreath of laurel, bow bottom. Text reads left to right; Showa Year 39.
