Piece appears to be brass, not gold. The stamps on the coin do not match illustrations seen while cataloguing.

Oval; design top, bottom; characters above, below; horizontal lines; 4 characters in circles; flower in circle. Obverse has panduras leaves in fan-shaped frame top, bottom; denomination in top frame; signatures in bottom frame; 4 columns of horizontal lines. Reverse has flower stamp top- left; signature stamp top-right; shogunate stamp centre; 2 stamps bottom left.
