Bedfordshire-Buckinghamshire Point Ground and Maltese Pillow Lace-Making Collection.
Physical description
Thin cylindrical piece of wood that has a recessed area and a knob at one end and a metal loop with beads strung onto it at the other end. White thread is wound around recessed area. Inlaid wood decoration of diagonal lines go around length of bobbin. Small grooves are on most of length, excepting a small area at the centre. The beads vary in size; their colours in order are: clear, blue, amber, clear, brown with grey decoration, clear, amber, blue, and amber.
