qp̓á (Basketry Hat)

Lamenget ceremonial hat with four compartments; each compartment represents certain standing and high rank (Raley catalogue).

Basketry hat with primarily plain twined weave with some diagonal twined sections on the brim. Above the crown of the hat are a series of four cylindrical protrusions of plain twined weave around the sides of each, and twined and wicker weave on the underside of each with a hole in the topmost protrusion. Two bands of black on the brim and on the cylindrical protrusion below the topmost protrusion.
