Attributed to Tsimshian carver Samuel Elwitt. The dots and stipples on the face of the bird conform with other works by Elwitt, particularly his figural spoons.
Physical description
Bird shaped dish with recessed bowl. Painted in black and red. Head of bird has black speckles and protruding red tongue. Painted face below bird head.
