Temple banners

Collected by the paper making library & museum, Tokyo, between 1957 and 1959.

Rectangular white cloth with dyed designs. To one side there is a thick wavy band with feathered edges. Within the blue band are designs with small squares and larger circles in white. On the other side is a red diamond with feathered edges and small square designs in white. There are two selvage edges and two raw edges. The back is unlined.
