History of use
A distinct type of marbled ware was developed to imitate popular vases turned from serpentine rock. This blue jug is considered more convincing than mauve ones.

Physical description
Yellow-white pyriform earthenware tankard with blue marbling. Flat base with pewter mount, slightly flared neck, flat pewter lid with ribbed design hinged to loop handle.
