Wall Calendar

Physical description

A long, vertically rectangular calendar that has a bottom part consisting of four tear away stapled (four staples) pages with each page containing three months side-by-side. Calendar in the year 1989 in English in blue with Sundays in red. The main part of the calendar has the image of the deity Saraswati sitting on a rock with trees and a waterfall with two swans in the background and a peacock in front of her on the lower left side. Saraswati's back hands are holding a pearl necklace and scriptures with her front hands holding a veena (violin). She is wearing a jewelled gold headdress and a red upper garment under a white over garment with gold trim. In between the image and the months, are written characters. There is a metal support folded over the top edge and a flat braided pale blue fibre loop attached at the top back centre.
