History of use
Basketry filled a vital need as containers for storage domestic use and transportation of goods. Some had multiple uses; others were made for specific functions. After European contact, used for trade and sale items. Forms have been altered to meet European tastes. Basketry making was and is a women's art.

Specific techniques
Plain 2 ply twined weave. Major techniques, s-twist; rim made by bending warps to right and down and securing with a row of 2 ply plain twining.
Physical description
Cylindrical basket with an opening and a base that are circular. Braided rim folded inward and secured with a row of plain twining. Sides are decorated with three bands of dark brown plain twining alternating with brown plain twining.
