iqabane (Necklace)

Iqabane (Zulu name) 'tab' necklace. Most likely Zulu origin; first half of 20th century.

Band of red, white, and blue beading. A blue and white beaded rectangular panel with two smaller rectangular designs in the centre hangs from one of the sides of the necklace near the loop and metal bead closure.
