Bear Mother Basket

The basket was given to the donor by her adoptive mother, Annie Wilson Dawson, and was made by the grand-aunt of Mrs. Dawson, whom she called Aunt Phoebe.

Large woven basket with flat bottom and sides that slope outward so that the diameter at the rim is larger than the base. There are two slightly darker bands around the sides, and fragments of handles remaining on the inside rim.
