untitled (mountain range)

Painting consisting of two horizontal stretched canvases hung one above the other. The upper half (part a) is divided into square-like areas. The bottom half (part b) has a central triangle divided vertically into a light and a dark half. The tip of this triangle is on the upper canvas. Each half of the triangle has a large square bordering the bottom edge and two resulting triangles. Each panel has a central vertical strip of masking tape that is beneath the paint. All areas are abstractly coloured and various areas have designs scratched into the paint. Both panels are on wooden stretchers and have coroplast backings.
