Cantonese Opera Banner

An officer of the Ngai Lum Musical Society, Sylvia Au, said these banners were presented on the occasion of the first international Cantonese opera congress or festival in Guangzhou, 1991.

Commemorative maroon-coloured velvet banner with rows of large and small gold foil Chinese letters attached to front. It hands from a thin green wood pole with plastic pear-shaped yellow finials and long gold fibre tassels. Stitched to the bottom is a woven gold ribbon with a fringe of looped gold twine.
