Bima figure.
Physical description
Freestanding figure of a woman carved from heavy wood. The head is elongated, with a long face decorated with a orange, black and white colour blocks and a pattern of lines on cheeks and chin. The oblong eyes are painted on. Nose protrudes slightly and is rectangular. The slightly protruding mouth is small. Grass as hair covers the back and top of the head. Rounded breasts and stomach protrude and are painted in crisscrossing and diagonal lines and dots. The buttocks are similarly decorated. Arms are held close to the body. Legs are short and widely spaced. The base is round and painted with dots and criss-crossing lines.
