Physical description

Byzantine coin of Anastasius I, 491-518. Obverse: bust of Anastasius I, facing right, with diadem, [cuirass, and paludamentum]; to the left, inscription says 'DNA[NASTA]'; to the right, 'SIVSPPAVC'. Reverse: large 'M'; to left and right, stars; beneath, 'E'; in exergue, ‘CON’.
