About this object

Narrative

The original owner, Bishop Geddes, served in the arctic from 1920 to 1947. The gavel and game board are assumeed to have been made in either the Yukon or Mackenzie River delta area during that time.

Physical description

A rectangular piece (part a) with a hole made in the middle of one side. An animal figure (part b) lying down with its forelimbs pointing forward and a carved face with black eyes and nose.
