Men wear the bag over their ponchos, slung over one shoulder.

Narrative

Purchased on June 25, 1978 at a booth outside of the Indian market. The booth was run by two young men and located by a river at the north entrance to Huaras.

Physical description

Rectangular cotton bag consisting of two large square pockets on each end. The bag is detailed with a black and white herringbone pattern with two green and one red stripe intertwined. Each corner has a black and white tassel.
