Round, 4-sided hole in centre, rims around outer edge and centre hole, obverse 4 characters, character on reverse. Kaiyuan tongbao (top-bottom-right-left) in orthodox Chinese characters on obverse; run (top), mintmark, Chinese character on reverse. Centre hole twisted.
