This photographic reproduction was made in Vancouver for the exhibition "Traces of Words". The original was a mural painted on the ruins of the Russian Cultural Centre in Kabul, Afghanistan, which has since been destroyed.

The text reads: "The water can come back to a dried-up river, but what about the fish that died?"
