Narrative

The meaning and purpose of the texts is on the front outside cover: "Right [underlined] Darvish Medjid (famous caligrapher) A letter to a friend, complaining because he has forgotten him. Left [underlined] Beautiful practice."

Physical description

Calligraphy on the insides of two hinged sheets. Both the left and the right images show text in a linear form that are outlined in black following the shape of the words on a background of gold. Borders of dark blue, then green, surround the text all on a background of orange. Writing appears above the right text. The meaning and purpose of the texts is on the front outside cover. Small writing appears in the lower left front cover and the lower right back cover. A piece of paper with writing, in ink, was between the hinged sheets.
