Physical description

Byzantine coin of Phocas, 602-610. Obverse: bust of Phocas, facing front, with consular robes and crown; to left, he holds a mappa; to right, he holds a cross; to left, inscription is illegible; to right, it says ‘PAVC’. Reverse: large ‘XXXX’; to right, ‘IIII’ in a vertical position; above, ‘ANNO’; in exergue, ‘KYZA’.
