Physical description

Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: bust of Heraclius, facing front; he wears a plumed helmet; to left, he holds a cross; to right, he holds a shield; to left, it says ‘DNhRACLI’; to right, ‘PERPAV’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘III’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘B’; in exergue, ‘KYZ’.
