Physical description
Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: three rulers standing and facing front; Heraclius is in the middle; to his left, Empress Martina; to his right, Heraclius Constantine, his son; all wear crowns with crosses and hold globus crucigers in their right hands; this type of coin has no inscriptions. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, monogram; to right, ‘XϤIIII’ in a vertical position; above, ‘ANNO’; beneath, ‘A’; in exergue, ‘KYZ’. Monogram corresponds to number 24 in the Sear catalogue.
