About this object

History of use

Inscribed tablet from ancient Mesopotamia. Dated to the Neo-Babylonian period (612-535 B.C.E.), the 2nd day of the 2nd month in the 41st year of King Nebuchadnezzar II. This date apparently can be translated as April 10, 564 B.C.

Physical description

Rounded rectangular reddish clay tablet with stylus cuneiform impressions. (Parts b and c show imprints from the tablet.)
