Karamojong warrior hair-piece, which would normally be incorporated into the man's hair. For initiated men. In the past it was made with the wearer's ancestors' hairs.

Physical description

Domed headdress made from human hair covered with ridged clay; mainly light purple with two bands of red and orange separated by a large light green area. There is a slightly protruding area with a ring of exposed natural hair at its base. The protruding area is covered in six roughly triangular red, orange and green shapes separated by red and light purple lines. The inside is human hair held in place by a cord. There are 13 holes fitted with rusty iron springs and three segments of iron chain at the back of the headdress.
