Basket
About this object
Narrative
According to the donor this basket was received as a wedding present in 1939. During a visit to the Museum of Anthropology in 2000, basketmaker Anna Billy suggested that this basket was the work of Rose Andrew or Susan Andrew. She was quite certain that someone from that family had made it based on the designs and weaving.
Physical description
Rectangular, light brown woven basket with a flat, fitted lid. Two geometric designs--in black and yellow-white, and red and yellow-white--mark the lid and the four sides.
