Basket

The horizontal zigzag design on this basket has several meanings. The more common are: rainbow, necklace, and grasshopper.

Rectangular basket with handles made of coiled cedar root. Parallel slat base construction with foot. Overcase edge with top coiled row separating off into a handle at either side. Decorated with a black, red, and white imbricated design of continuous v-shapes, creating a large zig zag all around.
