Physical description
Byzantine coin of Maurice Tiberius, 582-602. Obverse: bust of Maurice Tiberius, facing front, wearing crown with cross; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to right, he holds a shield; to left, inscription is illegible; to right, it says ‘CTIb’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘ϚI’; above, cross; beneath, ‘A’; in exergue, ‘KYZ’.
