This figure represents a starving 'Indian.' According to the old catalogue card, this figure is part of a pair representing the story of an Indian begging the Indian Agent for aid. The agent is glumly lecturing him on thrift and gives him a script. It is meant to be a pair with A4187.

Physical description
Roughly carved figure of a seated man. The figure has a large head with wide eyes, open mouth and a protruding tongue. The hands are held on the breast and the feet and knees are together. The figure is painted yellow-brown with a shiny, clear top-coat. The only other colour on the figure is the black outlining the centre of the eyes.
