Copithorne, Anne E. (1908 - 1984)

Anne (Nancy) E Copithorne was born in 1908 in County Cork, Ireland, and immigrated to Canada after World War I with her family. She received nursing training at Vancouver General Hospital in 1930, and in 1934 she trained in public health nursing at the University of British Columbia. In 1935 she entered the United Church Training School to prepare for work as a United Church missionary. She served in the United Church Woman’s Missionary Society for 33 years, mostly in Angola.
