Biography

George's brother was Charlie George Sr. (Xalxidi), a contemporary of Willie Seaweed at Ba'as. "Their work shares enough in appearance to suggest a Blunden Harbour school, increasingly flamboyant and characterized by elaborate detail, fine craftsmanship, and the use of enamel paint" (Holm, 1983). According to Stan Humchitt, Chief George from Blunden Harbour was his great grandfather, and his name was Stanley (2016).
