Lester, Margaret

Elder Margaret Lester taught a basket making course at the Pemberton Museum in 1989. She had five students whom she taught how to collect the materials, make baskets with lids and fancy edges, cradles and model canoes. The students lived together in an old house for the duration of the course from May and October. Her students included Diane Billy, Zena Gabriel, Sandra Lester, Benita Wallace and Ruth Williams. Sandra Lester is her daughter-in-law.
