Stephens, Vernon (1949 - )

Vernon Stephens was born in Hazelton and is from the Wolf Clan. He has been involved with the Gitanmax School of NW Indian Design from its inception. His main interest is in two dimensional design which he instructs at the Gitanmax School. He also carves wood, and paints in oils. He adapts traditional elements in such a way as to produce realistic, non traditional images of animals and human figures.
