Damaru (Ó¢îÓ╝ïÓ¢ÿÓ╝ïÓ¢óÓ¢┤Ó╝ï) is a ritual object used by practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism.
Physical description
Double-sided drum known as damaru (Ó¢îÓ╝ïÓ¢ÿÓ╝ïÓ¢óÓ¢┤Ó╝ï). Drum has two dome-shaped pieces that are attached back to back. Skin has been stretched over wooden base. There is a thick skin band around centre of the drum that attaches to a circular button and a braided metal ring. Two smaller fibre strands are attached to the central skin band.
