Woodblock Print

This triptych or sanmai tuzuki (õ©ëµ×ÜþÂÜ) from the artist's Kabuki plays is signed with two different signatures with K┼ìch┼ìr┼ì Toyokuni ga (ÚªÖÞصÑ╝Þ▒èÕ£ïþö╗) (on the right and left) and Ichiy┼ìsai Toyokuni ga(õ©ÇÚÖ¢µûÄÞ▒èÕ£ïþö╗) in the middle. All the signatures are with red circle seals known as toshidama-in (Õ╣┤þÄëÕì░). The black circular seals are a censor seal, known as aratame-in (µö╣Õì░) or kiwame-in (µÑÁÕì░). The black rectangular seals are the publisher/printer Taihei at Ry┼ìgoku (õ©íÕø¢Õñ¬Õ╣│þëê).

Black Japanese writing at the bottom right of each print are the artistÔÇÖs signatures, with red circular seals; the black circular seals are censor seals; the black rectangular seals are the publisher/printer.
